Case Study

The problem

AF Securities had a capable platform but a confusing website. The homepage asked users to open an account before explaining what the product actually does. Generic hero copy, services listed with equal weight, CTAs pushing commitment before trust was built.

What I found

Six structural issues: unclear value proposition, content overload, flat service hierarchy, premature conversion pressure, weak trust signals, and a visually heavy layout that felt slow even when it wasn't.

The root cause wasn't design — it was that UX decisions were made without a clear product or conversion strategy. No defined user journey, no segmentation between beginners and active traders.

Direction

The redesign strategy focused on progressive trust-building: explain first, then guide, then ask for commitment. Services reframed as solutions for specific user types, not a feature checklist.
